Tomintoul 21 Years Old 1999 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

This Tomintoul 21 year old was distilled in 1999 and aged in a bourbon hogshead before being bottled in 2020 at 49.6% abv.   Founded in 1965 like many of its Speyside counterparts the majority of early Tomintoul was seen in blends, a handful of single casks that were released around that time are now quite legendary for their bright tropical fruit notes and intricacy.  Fast forward almost 60 years and now we are seeing more of these wonderful single cask Tomintouls offering the same desirable qualities.  From this 21 year old expect bright tropical and citrus notes on the nose with the palate offering lemon sorbet and apricots.  A wonderful finish amalgamating in fruit mince pies and pastries.
