Sansibar Whisky originally began life as a bar in Berlin. The owners wanted casks of whisky for the bar and after bottling some incredible whisky, demand for their products surged and they opened a shop selling their own whisky and other imported independent bottles.

This bottle has no age statement, all we know is the whisky is very old! Sansibar has chosen to label their range with painted images of the distilleries on the front.

Nose: Deep and rich with a musty and old sherry nose. Beef stew with carrots and a light zest. Chewy steak with a gentle mushroom sauce.

Palate: Robust and soft with a complex and deep mouthfeel. A whisp of smoke that creeps up and develops slowly over throughout. Smoked brisket with some chewy beef!

Finish: Very delicate with a long and rich mouthfeel. The smoke develops more and more, wrapping its way around the tongue.
