Neisson Le Vieux Par Neisson Agricole Rum 700ml, 45% ABV

This Rhum is a blend of carefully selected vintages which has been further matured for 3 - 9 years in both French Oak and used American Oak. This Rhum is using sourced sugar cane from Neisson's own forty hectare sugarcane farm planted in La Carbet which benefits from the towns mineral rich soils due to its proximity to Mount Pelée as well as high sunlight exposure and a good fluctuation of rain and temperature variation. The fresh sugar cane juice is then fermented for 72 (one of the longest fermentation times of the French Indies) and utilises natural yeasts.

Nose: Oaky Vanilla, dried druits, tropical notes with a touch of citrus.

Palate: Dry and maritime with hints of ginger and oaky tannins.

Finish: Lingering oaky tannins with ginger skin, dry grass and citrus pith.
