The Whisky Agency

The Whisky Agency was created in 2008 by Carsten Ehrlich, one of the founders of the legendary festival The Whisky Fair in Limburg. 

Carsten used his experience selecting and sourcing casks for The Whisky Fair to passionately pick and bottle high quality single casks on a regular basis for his newest endeavour The Whisky Agency. Carsten created a number of labels for The Whisky Agency including The Perfect Dram, Liquor Library, Private Stock and Liquid Sun. The Whisky Agency only bottles true gems so be sure to not look past their spectacular bottlings. 

The Distillery

Linkwood Distillery is located in the Speyside region of Scotland, near the town of Elgin. It was founded in 1821 by Peter Brown, who saw an opportunity to create a distillery that would produce high-quality single malt Scotch whisky using the abundant supplies of water and barley in the area. The distillery's location on the banks of the River Lossie provides it with a plentiful supply of fresh water, which is essential for the whisky-making process.

Over the years, Linkwood Distillery has undergone several changes in ownership and has been expanded and modernized to increase production capacity. In 1933, the distillery was acquired by Distillers Company Limited (DCL), which later became part of Diageo. Under Diageo's ownership, the distillery has become known for producing a range of single malt Scotch whiskies, including both peated and unpeated expressions.

Linkwood's whiskies are known for their rich, complex character, with notes of fruit, honey, and spice. The distillery's commitment to traditional whisky-making methods, including the use of copper pot stills and wooden washbacks, helps to give its whiskies their distinctive character. Linkwood's commitment to innovation and experimentation has led to the development of a range of unique expressions, including cask-strength whiskies and limited-edition releases. Despite its relatively small size, Linkwood Distillery is highly regarded among whisky enthusiasts and has won numerous awards for its whiskies.
