About Caol Ila Distillery

Perched on the rugged coastline of Islay, Caol Ila has been a cornerstone of whisky craftsmanship since its founding in 1846. After a complete rebuild in 1974, the distillery now boasts three wash stills, each with a capacity of 20,000 litres, and three spirit stills, each holding 14,000 litres, making it the island's largest producer.
