Bunnahabhain Staoisha 7 Years Old 2013 Very Cloudy Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml, 40% ABV

Signatory's 'Very Cloudy' range showcases whiskies which are non-chillfiltered, but bottled below 46% ABV. This results in the whisky turning cloudy at lower temperatures.

From 1963 to 1997, Bunnahabhain distillery produced an unpeated single malt. Since then, she has caught up well, as proven with this version Staoisha 2013, worthy representative of Islay whiskies, famous for their heavily peated profiles. Nose and palate concentrate camphor, fresh grass, medicinal and oily notes, with maritime and overly smoky character. Like The Un-Chillfiltered Collection, Very Cloudy whiskies are bottled from small batches of two to five casks. Reduced to 40% without cold filtration or coloring, they have a rich profile, very aromatic and have a slightly cloudy appearance.

Unchillfiltered whiskies have superior texture and flavour. The cloudiness is sometimes referred to as 'Scotch Mist' and is celebrated by whisky enthusiasts!
