The Whisky

Nose: Rich and concentrated, with a deep, malty first impression. Herbaceous notes of cut hay and gentian roots blend seamlessly with vanilla and a subtle hint of smokiness. As it breathes, intense smokiness fills the air, revealing bright aromas of lime, agave, and fresh walnut.

Appearance: Golden yellow.

Palate: Full-bodied and dense, the initial taste delivers a bold, savoury experience reminiscent of bacon and smoked fish, enriched by unctuous liquorice, olive oil, and a touch of lemon. The mid-palate evolves into creamy almond and agave notes.

Finish: Long and luxuriant, with lingering notes of white flowers, delicate citrus, and a hint of honey. The finish also reveals a subtle earthiness, followed by the gentle sweetness of germinating barley, reminiscent of a malting floor.

Ardmore 

Founded in 1898, Ardmore is the only distillery in the Highlands to have always produced a peated single malt. Made with local peat from January to March and September to December, it is peated to between 12 and 14 ppm. Remarkably natural, this outstanding version is a sensational illustration of the Ardmore style. Rustic, bucolic, empyreumatic and mineral, the palette of flavours and aromas showcases an Oloroso sherry cask that dresses fruity, lemony and milky aspects in fino sherry.
